An airline founded in the Turks and Caicos Islands 25 years ago – interCaribbean Airways – said it today started a new service from the Terrance B Lettsome International Airport in the British Virgin Islands to San Juan in Puerto Rico.
The airline first began service in the British Virgin Islands in December 2015, with Sunday flights to Antigua.
Now, in time for the summer holidays, it stated that the increased presence is important.
“All of these flights are served with EMB 120 equipment, with capacity for 30 passengers,” the airline added.
Its Chief Executive Officer Trevor Sadler also explained: “We look forward to providing additional options for the British Virgin Islands and Puerto Rican citizens and visitors alike, with this new service between Tortola and San Juan, Puerto Rico.”
The schedule is as follows:
JY638 will travel from Tortola to Puerto Rico on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10:35am to 11:15am.
JY637 will travel from Puerto Rico to Tortola on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 2:45pm to 3:25pm.
“Seats are on sale, and bookable at interCaribbean.com by calling our reservation centers, calling or visiting a preferred Travel Agencies, and/or visiting our airport locations during operational hours,” said interCaribbean Airways.
