Jeanneau SO 36i (2009) 'Sandpiper'
Let yourself be carried by the Antiguan winds sailing aboard our Jeanneau SO36i charter boat “Sandpiper”. You will be seduced by the high performance hull, designed by Marc Lombard, the powerful sail plan, the deck designed for security, the generous cockpit with oversized, leather-wrapped steering wheel and deep storage lockers.
Step below on the Jeanneau SO36i, and you will appreciate the space, natural lighting and comfortable atmosphere of a large sailboat during your Antigua sailboat charter. On the interior, thoughtful design and high-quality materials lend both tranquility and warmth to this beautiful sailboat.
Sandpiper has a deep draft keel at 6′ 4″, and as of August 2014 will also have a new fully battened high modulus Dacron mainsail, as well as a new 125% roller furling high modulus Dacron Genoa, so she sails extremely well on all points of sail. The 2 cabin layout is very comfortable and has lots of storage for your Antigua sailing vacation. Sandpiper benefits from having not only a large head, but a truly luxurious, entirely separate walk-in shower. Charter guests also benefit from the following equipment:
- Wind instrumentation including wind speed and apparent wind direction
- 2014 10.5 ft “Cruise Ready” AB “RIB” (Rigid Inflatable Boat) dinghy, with a double fiberglass hull
- 2014 5 HP, 4 stroke, lightweight, Tohatsu outboard motor.
Also both the genoa and mainsail were new in 2014.
In their review of the Jeanneau SO36i, Cruising World said “With its fractional rig, gentle sheer, and low-slung coach roof, it’s a classic example of a contemporary performance cruiser.”. For the interior they commented “Down below, the 36i is very nicely appointed. There are two sleeping cabins, one forward and one aft, with generous double bunks. The central saloon is a bit unusual in that the wraparound settee and table are to starboard, the single settee to port”.
