Three deck hatches ventilate the forward cabin and saloon. On deck, a wide cockpit opens aft where the upper part of the transom hinges down to create a platform one step below sole level. A molded recess that conceals the folded dodger and a seahood molding that covers the control lines led from the mast add to the tidy look of the coachroof. The mast is well forward and, counter to the trend followed by many current designs, the sail plan compensates with a large overlapping genoa.
