Antigua sailing conditions remain pretty constant year round in both Antigua and Barbuda. The breeze is mainly easterly at around 15 – 20 knots.
The sailing area of Antigua and Barbuda is simply stunning. There is something for every sailor; from coastal cruising and bay hopping, to passage making and blue water sailing. This is what makes sailing Antigua very unique and truly memorable. We have guests who return year after year and never sail the same islands twice.
The seas around Antigua and Barbuda tend to be around 5 – 7 feet with a little more when you sail on the eastern side of Antigua; for example, sailing to Green Island and Nonsuch Bay from English Harbour and Falmouth Harbour. Average temperatures are ‘Caribbean tropical’ – 27 – 28 degrees (78F) and similar for the water temperature so it is beautiful swimming and snorkelling weather.
