2014 Lagoon 450 (2014) 'GREAT ADVENTURE'Gallery
The 2014 Lagoon 450 “GREAT ADVENTURE” is a modern, bright and spacious catamaran available for luxury crewed charter in the Caribbean and based in the Virgin Islands. This luxury catamaran sleeps up to 6 guests in comfort and style.
The stylish galley and saloon are tastefully designed and equipped. The saloon has wrap-around windows, providing uninterrupted views during your yacht charter. There is also a chocolate leather couch in the main salon with matching leather stools.
The 2014 Lagoon 450 “GREAT ADVENTURE” is fully air-conditioned and has a high output reverse osmosis water maker, powered either by shore power or by a whisper-quiet generator, located away from sleeping quarters making for a peaceful night’s sleep during your luxury crewed yacht charter.
On deck, the 2014 Lagoon 450 “GREAT ADVENTURE” boasts extensive seating both forward of the saloon and aft, as well as a large swimming platform, ideal to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the British Virgin Islands. The raised flybridge gives a panoramic bird’s eye view at anchor and under sail. With a beam of nearly 26 feet, she is very stable, never heeling more than 5 degrees, with wide decks and recessed hatches, to make moving around the yacht a breeze and with enough space for everyone aboard to find their own favourite place to read, sunbathe or simply watch the ever-changing seascapes go sailing by.
The spacious cockpit comfortably sits all guests around an ample table to make dining al fresco a pleasure. There is a ventilation hatch on the bridge deck, that funnels a cooling breeze into the cockpit area. 3 Double cabins provide spacious accommodation for all. For such a spacious yacht, she is surprisingly nimble, and the gulping shaped bridge deck makes her very comfortable underway, no slapping or slamming aboard this beauty, and you can hop between islands in under an hour, or choose to spend longer under sail. The choice is entirely yours during your cruise through the BVI.
Our Luxury Crewed Lagoon 450 is truly a superb yacht where the idyllic scenery, changes with every blink of the eye, as you sail through nature’s little secret, the beautiful island chain of the British Virgin Islands.

NEW CREW Starting October 2019! Introducing Captain Charlie Perry and Chef/Mate Cammi Burgess.
Capt. Charlie Perry’s Certifications:
- USCG 100T Master License
- PADI Dive Master
- STCW 2010
- FCC MROP
Captain Charlie grew up in Newport, Rhode Island and his family’s love for the local beaches cultivated his affinity for the ocean at a young age, motivating him to work as a lifeguard and diver as soon as he was old enough to take a paycheck. After high school sailing, Charlie joined Roger Williams University’s competitive and nationally ranked team to continue honing his skills on the often-chilly Narragansett Bay. During his summers, Charlie worked as first mate on a schooner in Newport. Having had a taste of larger vessels, Charlie joined the community of seasonal sailors racing classic 12 meters during the New England summers and diving the Caribbean in the winters. Since then, Charlie has earned his PADI Dive Master certification, continued to foster his competitive streak in 12 meter North Americans and superyacht regattas, and learned to take yachting to a new level in the charter boating world. Charlie’s attention to detail and his experience in handling large yachts affords his guests confidence in their safety and allows for a great opportunity to learn sailing while aboard Great Adventure. His anticipation of guests needs leaves those in his care feeling pampered and relaxed.
Chef and Mate Cammi Burgess’ Certifications:
- USCG 100T Master License
- PADI Open Water Diver
- STCW 2010
- ENG 1
While Mate/Chef Cammi also hails from Newport, she grew up a bit unconventionally and had 30,000 ocean miles under her sailing belt by the time she was 14. Raised on various different sailboats throughout the Eastern seaboard and Caribbean islands, Cammi’s fondest memories are from the two years she and her family spent crossing the Pacific Ocean. During high school Cammi made her best attempt at a “normal” land life and studied ballet, traveling across the world to dance both academically and professionally, however, her love for the sea eventually became too strong to deny. Since leaving land life, Cammi has spent summers working on schooners and yachts in New England and winters split between catamarans in the Caribbean and a writing degree in Boston. Eager to up her game, Cammi has also opted to pursue culinary training and loves experimenting with local cuisines, creating delicious, healthy meals like her mother taught her to do as a “boat kid”.
As a team, Charlie and Cammi are masters at bringing together the perfect mix of excitement, creativity, relaxation, and professionalism. With years of sailing to look back on, they draw upon a wealth of shared experience to ensure that their guests feel at home, whether that means a round of cool drinks to ease the heat of the day, a jungle hike that ends at an enormous private beach, or a guided dive through the belly of a sunken ship. With their natural love for spending time on the water, it’s impossible not to feel inspired and awed by the beauty of the Caribbean with Charlie and Cammi onboard. Always eager to share the passion and knowledge they have for their work and environment, Cammi and Charlie are the ideal guides for a Virgin Islands adventure.
Great Adventure crew through 08/19:
Conor Dugan and Taylor Esposito bring a strong sailing background, adventurous spirits and professional service background to the Virgin Islands charter industry.
Conor was born and raised in a small shore town in New Jersey, racing Optis, Lasers and 420s at a young age. His love of sailing progressed into his high-school years; he and his family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, where he worked summers teaching youth sailing. After a summer spent living aboard a 50′ catamaran in the Grenadines, Conor knew that sailing would be a part of his life forever. His passion for sailing continued high-school and into college, he spent his summers on Bald Head Island, NC, teaching sailing aboard J80s on the challenging waters of the Cape Fear River. Soon after graduating from UNC Charlotte, Conor decided to move to the US Virgin Islands to pursue a career as a licensed captain, running day charter catamarans out of the Westin and the Ritz-Carlton, before joining Great Adventure.
Taylor was born and raised in Upstate New York. Growing up, she spent summers on the rivers among the 1000 Islands, Old Forge Lake in the Adirondacks, and on the beaches of North Carolina. After high school, she chose a route of independence: she moved to Hawaii, learned how to surf and fell in love with the island life. Living for four years on Maui, she developed a passion for a more natural lifestyle. Her time abroad in Thailand, Indonesia, and Central and South America taught Taylor about different flavours and ingredients, which continue to inspire her cooking. Her culinary instincts are illustrated in her creative style, using healthy, colourful ingredients that taste amazing and leave her guests feeling great. Taylor’s love for sailing has reached new heights in the Virgin Islands; working as crew aboard day charter sailing catamarans, teaching sailing aboard Hobie 16s in the St. John National park, and spending time on the water with Conor has shaped Taylor into a well-seasoned sailor.
Conor and Taylor combine their love for sailing and being on the water with a strong sense of adventure and attention to detail. They have amassed a wealth of worldly knowledge and skills that they use to create unforgettable vacation experiences that will leave their guests with new perspectives and life-long memories.

I just had to write to let you know how impressed our family was with the Great Adventure crew. As you may have heard, we had some difficulties early on when I couldn’t find our passports. Connor was on the phone, I was crying, everyone was looking. They were light on their feet and adapted quickly with a new plan and enthusiasm about how great vacation would still be. When I found them early the next morning, it was game one. Back to the first plan and they managed to make everything happen that we hoped for.
Connor and Taylor are hospitable, accommodating, and knowledgeable beyond their young age. Our sons related well to them and enjoyed learning from both of them about local history, fishing, boating, and even cooking. Their boat was clean, well kept, and provisioned perfectly for us. We would highly recommend them to anyone in the future.
Thank you so much! I could not have imagined a more perfect trip and what an amazing way to celebrate “50”! You two provided a perfect trip! Much love and thanks!
Thanks for the epic adventure that won’t too be forgotten. We all wish you guys the very best in whatever is in store for you and hope to see you again in the future.
