Delta Air Lines has launched its newest nonstop Caribbean route, with its first flights between Minneapolis-St Paul and St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The new route is operating three times each week, with flights on and Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, according to Delta’s Web site.
The first flights to St Thomas’ Cyril E. King Airport touched down last week.
“Airlift expansion is an important part of our marketing strategy, and it was our pleasure to welcome the inaugural Delta flight from Minneapolis to St Thomas,” said US Virgin Islands Commissioner of Tourism Joseph Boshculte.
Its just a short ferry ride from St Thomas to the British Virgin Islands!
