Would you like to add a new dimension to your next sailing charter?  Then try your hand at kiteboarding from either our BVI or our Grenada base.  We call it Horizon Sail and Kite and it’s the perfect activity vacation for those looking to either learn to kite or to work on their existing kiting skills; plus the sailing is amazing, too.

It works very much like a regular charter but it includes more time spent on the best kiting Caribbean islands; Anegada in the BVI, and Union Island in the Grenadines, to experience kiteboarding with our chosen kiting partners.

You can either choose to charter bareboat, or you can take one of our experienced Skippers so you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful blue Caribbean.

Most of our guests will provision on the first day and sail to a nearby anchorage.  Enjoy a BBQ under the stars or head ashore for sundowners and dinner.  The next day, set sail to your kiting Caribbean paradise and let the adventure begin.

Sail and Kite BVI

sail & kite

Experience the kiting paradise island of Anegada.  Here you’ll meet the crew at Tommy Gaunt Kitesurfing. Tommy and his team provide lessons, guided excursions and use the latest in equipment and apparel. You will moor at Setting Point on the stunning south shore. You or your Skipper will dinghy you ashore to the Lobster Trap restaurant and you’ll take the free shuttle to the Anegada Beach Club at Keel Point over on the North Shore. Tommy is sponsored by Crazy Fly Kites and is the coolest guy to meet and share his passion for the sport with you. You’ll also get to meet Tommy’s British kite instructors, who exude enthusiasm and will get you up and riding in no time at all!

Whether you are a complete novice to kiting, or a seasoned pro, these Instructors will get you to the next level, faster than you can imagine possible. They use the latest Crazy Fly kites and boards for all levels and wind conditions. They also offer guided paddleboard downwinders and SUP rentals.

It’s an amazing Caribbean hideaway; white sandy beach, cool beach bar and restaurant, and a wonderful, laid-back Caribbean vibe. If you just want to hang out at the bar and maybe take a SUP across the turquoise water, that’s cool too.  Make new friends and stay salty.

Sail and Kite Grenada

sail & kite

From Grenada, you will sail north to Union Island.  Here we team up with Jeremie Tronet who has the professional JT Pro Centre Kitesurfing School just a short walk from your overnight anchorage.  Located close to restaurants and bars, it’s the perfect place to hang out and kite.  The breeze is just perfect and the support is all you would want; via boat and on land.  The water is perfectly shallow and clear; great for those GoPro shots to impress your friends back home.  With 16 years experience, JT’s team consists of both male and female Instructors.

For kiting pro’s, you will love the average wind of over 15 knots 50% – 100% of the time.  Did we mention the water’s warm?  For beginners, they have a great flat-water spot for you to get your kite legs and skills up to par.
