It all started in the stunning British Virgin Islands back in 1998, inspired by a mission to elevate the yacht charter experience in the sailing capital of the world. Since then, we’ve grown far beyond our original base, bringing the renowned Horizon Experience to sailors across the globe. With additional charter bases in St. Vincent & The Grenadines and partnerships worldwide, our guests enjoy exceptional service from a dedicated, professional team—many of whom have been with us since day one.
On February 11, 1998, Horizon Yacht Charters was established at Nanny Cay, Tortola by Andrew Thompson and Sylvia Driver. With a modest start of just three yachts and a team of four, the foundation for a customer-focused charter company was laid.
Our first fleet included: Lagoon 37 Bambolayo, Kirie Feeling 326 Angelina & Irwin Ketch 54 Buds Four.

We became the authorized dealers in the English-speaking Caribbean for Nautitech Catamarans and continued to expand our range to include Fountaine Pajot (2006), Beneteau (2008), Lagoon (2016) and Jeanneau (2018)
Co-founder Sylvia Driver retires. Andrew Thompson becomes sole owner, continuing the mission of delivering exceptional sailing experiences in the Caribbean.
