The standard size engine that we have is 5hp, or 9.8hp for catamarans. This is because we ask that you lift the engine off the dinghy (on monohulls) when you are sailing in slightly bigger seas – to ensure that the dinghy does not flip with the engine still on. Most of our catamarans have larger outboards – since the dinghy is lifted into davits and secured when the yacht is underway.
