There are few places in the world with such a surplus of white-sand beaches bordering crystal-clear, turquoise waters as there are in the British Virgin Islands. With powder-soft sand and a new postcard view around every headland, the BVI is a sailor’s paradise and a beach lover’s dream rolled into one. Whether you’re island-hopping on a bareboat or enjoying a fully crewed experience, these are some of the very best beaches you won’t want to miss on your journey.

1. Devil's Bay & The Baths | Virgin Gorda
Often referred to as “Valley Trunk,” this iconic stretch of sand sits just beyond the famous Baths – one of the most photographed and unforgettable spots in the BVI. The Baths are a natural maze of giant granite boulders, tidal pools, and hidden grottoes which open up to a breathtaking white-sand beach. Valley trunk itself has some of the most crystal-clear water and is often a peaceful haven from The Baths, which can get very popular.

2. Cow Wreck Beach | Anegada
Wild and wonderfully unspoiled, Cow Wreck Beach captures the laid-back spirit of Anegada. Think swaying palms, shallow crystal-clear water, and beach bars serving fresh lobster and delicious cocktails just steps from the sea. It’s the kind of place where time slows down completely. Almost endless, you can spend your afternoon strolling along the white sandy strip for miles!

It’s the perfect blend of relaxation and energy – ideal for a swim, a snorkel, or a legendary painkiller cocktail. Grab a drink, wallow in the shallows, and watch the boats go by!

4. Smuggler's Cove | Tortola
