The option of BVI ferries for BVI travel is particularly useful for our charter guests traveling from North America. Fly into St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands (airport code STT) and you’re just a short ferry ride from our charter base in Tortola!
Traveling from Europe? Maybe you could consider a routing via a US hub into St Thomas and picking up one of the BVI ferries?
When you arrive in St Thomas just take a short taxi ride (don’t worry – the taxi operators will be waiting for your flight!) to one of the ferry terminals:
- Charlotte Amalie (around 10 minutes by taxi)
- Red Hook (around 30 minutes by taxi)
and then depending on your route it’s no more than a one-hour ferry ride through some of the most picturesque islands in the world.
As well as being a relaxing alternative to flying, the combination of the St Thomas routing and ferry will usually save travelers a lot of money when compared to direct flights to Tortola (EIS).
If you arrive late or miss your ferry there are also plenty of water taxi operators such as Sea Lion water taxis.
