“MAHASATTVA” is a luxury Lagoon 620 catamaran, offering 4 queen guest cabins, each with individual air conditioning controls, a private en-suite head with electric toilets, bidet, vanity, and dry shower stall. The main salon is very spacious. The aft deck is available for alfresco dining, lounging, and access to water and water toys and she has a large top fly-bridge with a 360-degree view, bar, and ice maker.
The Lagoon 620 catamaran Features
This particular Lagoon 620’s name, “MAHASATTVA”, means literally “great being”. It’s the name of a great bodhisattva who has practiced Buddhism for a long time and reached a very high level on the path to awakening (bodhi). It generally refers to bodhisattvas who have reached at least the seventh of the ten Bhūmi.

Captain Magnus
hails from the frigid fjords of Norway with several captains in his bloodline. He spent his entire childhood regatta racing, teaching sailing, and working for the King in the Norwegian Navy before he felt himself being drawn too far more tropical latitudes. Now, thawed out, and after several years of cruising on his private sailboat, multiple ocean crossings, and chartering the most stunning waters and island groups in the world, he can guarantee a fantastic experience with well-thought-out itineraries and adventures.
Chef Jayde
is originally from sunny South Africa. She grew up being heavily influenced by the coastal culture, which is famous for its sailing, as well as, its unique and impeccable coastal food and wine service. It was here that her love for the service industry began. Jayde graduated from University with an honors degree in software development. Afterward, she went to pursue an offshore sailing license. Since then, she has spent the last eight years working aboard various vessels, such as cruise ships, catamarans, motor, and sailing yachts, as a key part of the galley service, as well as interior and deck teams.
Jayde believes that yachting is the perfect career for her. She takes particular pride in going the extra mile to enhance the experience of your time onboard and in creating beautiful, fresh, and island-influenced meals. When not onboard the vessel, she is a passionate traveler, snowboarder, kitesurfer, and writer.
Before our Dive Instructor Adam moved to the US Virgin Islands in February 2016, he was working for Carnival Cruise Lines on board for 4 years. He worked in Camp Carnival with the kids for almost 2 years and then I became an Entertainment Host. He got to travel all over the Caribbean, Bahamas, Alaska, and Australia. Since moving to St. Thomas, he has become PADI MSDT (Master SCUBA Dive Trainer) as well as a 50-ton USCG Masters License Captain.

Luxury Crewed Charter Rates
The Horizon Yacht Charters BVI Crewed Charter rates are for 7 nights per vessel and are based on the number of guests. Please see individual yacht pages for detailed specifications and charter rates. Horizon Yacht Charters luxury crewed yacht charters come complete with your own personal Captain & Chef (and in the larger yachts, first mate and hostess). NB some yachts may be skipper only (with the option of a chef) – they are stated as such. Your meals aboard are included in the rate and prepared to your group’s individual preferences and dietary requirements. Beverages are also included but please note special requests for specific brands may be subject to an additional charge. Watersports equipment (such as paddleboards, kayaks etc) are also included and some yachts offer all-inclusive diving.
High season rates typically apply from December to April, and Low season from May to November, but please do check the seasonal rates for your yacht.
Each individual crewed yacht may charge for certain additional expenses (e.g. National Park Permit, Cruising permit, different port collections or departures). Please ask for a full breakdown of costs for your chosen yacht. Additional supplements may apply at Christmas and New Year.
All yachts come with tenders with outboards and safety equipment. Please review the individual yacht specification on our website for further details of available equipment and details of inclusions and exclusions.

Charter Rates shown above are for 7 nights per vessel (Christmas and New Year supplements on selected yachts). Crewed Charters usually start at noon and finish at noon, but please do check times for your particular yacht.

An Environmental levy of $10 per head is payable by all visitors to the BVI on arrival (effective 1st Sept 2017).
Bookings and Cancellations – We require a 50% deposit to confirm the reservation and the balance due of 50% no later than 45 days prior to charter start date. A smaller deposit and interim fee may be acceptable for bookings made more than 12 months in advance. Cancellation fees apply, and vary from yacht-to-yacht. Please check the specific terms for your yacht at the time of booking.
