Overview

Lagoon 78Horizon Yacht Charters are delighted to present ‘Mariah Princess III’, a Lagoon 78 catamaran, for luxury crewed yacht charter.

Lagoon 78 – Accommodations

2 King Cabins & 2 larger than Queen Cabins:

  • One master suite with a side-opening private deck, ensuite bath with his and her sinks, stall shower, electric toilets, walk-in closet, and desk.
  • All suites each with ensuite bath including stall shower, vanity/sink, electric toilets, and desks. One of the Kings can be split into Twin Beds if desired.
  • ALL BEDS HAVE UPGRADED CUSTOM MADE MATTRESS TOPPERS!

  • Master Cabin: 6’9″ x 5’11”
  • Starboard Aft: 6’9″ x 5’6″
  • Port Mid: 6’9″ x 5’6″
  • Port Aft 2 @ 6’9″ x 2’11” or 1@ 6’9″ x 5’10”

We do have space for more crew than we carry. One crew accommodation can be made available for a nanny on request. An additional fee will apply.

CAPTAIN KEVIN GENTLES

Kevin was born in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. He moved to the British Virgin Islands at a young age where his family-owned and operated a charter company on a large Sailing trimaran for 24 years. While living in the islands he started his career as a deckhand/stew and has since worked in various different roles such as Detailer, painter, deckhand, lead deckhand, bosun, first mate on large sailing yachts and motor yachts as well as Captain taking out day sails.
Recently coming from the position of the First officer on a Royal Families Flagship Yacht. He knows high-end service AND fun.
He has been involved in the marine industry from a young age. His immediate family is made up of Captains, SCUBA Instructors, Marine Engineers, Surveyors, and Naval Architects. So the ocean is in his blood.
Some of his interests include diving, which he is currently completing his divemaster, exploring new locations, exercising, and riding motorcycles.
Kevin has lived and worked around the world on yachts including all over the Mediterranean, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, The Maldives, and the Philippines.
He has many interesting stories to share and is a very outgoing person who has never met a stranger. He is happy to return to his roots and be closer to family. He always had a deep love for the British Virgin Islands.

CHEF NICOLE BOWMAN

100 T license with a Sailing Endorsement. She additionally carries a certificate in Culinary Arts, HABC QCF from Ashburton, STCW, and ENG1
Nicole has spent 7 years as a successful Charter Chef on a variety of Sailing and Motor Yachts progressively making her way up in size and quality. Nicole hails from “where the cows are” in the middle of Florida.
Outside of work, she enjoys SCUBA diving, hiking, and exploring Islands.

STEWARDESS DIANE MOFFITT

Diane is no stranger to the British Virgin Islands after spending several years working for the Tortola Sailing School. She hails from the United Kingdom and has spent the last few years as a stewardess on a variety of yachts. She enjoys travelling, meeting new people, sailing, great food and all things farming! Diane has done chef duties for Ski Chalets and will provide great cocktails, theme parties and friendly attention to detail onboard MARIAH PRINCESS III.

GENERAL NOTES:
MINIMUM NIGHTS: 5 – inquire for less, happy to do it if it works with our schedule.
For 6-night charters, divide the weekly rate by 7 nights X 6 nights. For 5 nights or less, divide the weekly rate by 6 nights X number of nights.
Cruising taxes in the British Virgin Islands are included in the rate. Taxes in between countries are to be paid by the client.

*** COVID travel insurance is strongly recommended! Should the client decline to purchase COVID trip insurance, no reschedule or refund will be offered if the charter is cancelled by the client.

SLEEP ABOARD: $3,500 (commissionable)
Includes boarding after 4 pm, welcome cocktail then dinner to be taken ashore at client expense, breakfast is provided the next morning. 6-night charter or longer.
Excludes Christmas and New Year.

PLUS EXPENSES OPTION: $54,000 PLUS 30% APA.

HALF-BOARD: Includes: 7 breakfasts, 4 lunches & 3 dinners. Requires 3 lunches and 4 dinners ashore at client expense.

Luxury Crewed Charter Rates

The Horizon Yacht Charters BVI Crewed Charter rates are for 7 nights per vessel and are based on the number of guests. Please see individual yacht pages for detailed specifications and charter rates. Horizon Yacht Charters luxury crewed yacht charters come complete with your own personal Captain & Chef (and in the larger yachts, first mate and hostess).  NB some yachts may be skipper only (with the option of a chef) – they are stated as such. Your meals aboard are included in the rate and prepared to your group’s individual preferences and dietary requirements. Beverages are also included but please note special requests for specific brands may be subject to an additional charge.  Watersports equipment (such as paddleboards, kayaks etc) are also included and some yachts offer all-inclusive diving.

High season rates typically apply from December to April, and Low season from May to November, but please do check the seasonal rates for your yacht.

Each individual crewed yacht may charge for certain additional expenses (e.g. National Park Permit, Cruising permit, different port collections or departures).  Please ask for a full breakdown of costs for your chosen yacht. Additional supplements may apply at Christmas and New Year.

All yachts come with tenders with outboards and safety equipment. Please review the individual yacht specification on our website for further details of available equipment and details of inclusions and exclusions.

Yacht photographs and specifications act as a guide and are for information purposes only.  Although we endeavour to ensure that images are accurate reflections of the yachts in our fleet, certain aspects may vary slightly.

Please note that our bareboat repeat client discount does not apply to our crewed charter fleet.

Charter Rates shown above are for 7 nights per vessel (Christmas and New Year supplements on selected yachts). Crewed Charters usually start at noon and finish at noon, but please do check times for your particular yacht.

An Environmental levy of $10 per head is payable by all visitors to the BVI on arrival (effective 1st Sept 2017).

Bookings and Cancellations – We require a 50% deposit to confirm the reservation and the balance due of 50% no later than 45 days prior to charter start date. A smaller deposit and interim fee may be acceptable for bookings made more than 12 months in advance. Cancellation fees apply, and vary from yacht-to-yacht. Please check the specific terms for your yacht at the time of booking.
